The Rutland Transfer Station is giving away FREE mulch!

Free Mulch is a new campaign the Rutland County Solid Waste District (RCSWD) is piloting. Therefore, mulch is first come first serve, while supplies last, and for a limited time only.

RCSWD may charge for this material in the future, so get your mulch while it lasts! This campaign is to give back to the community, of which, many community members typically pay to dispose of material. Today we are giving back with free mulch!

The mulch is recycled material from your own back yard! RCSWD grinds their brush to create this beautiful mulchy material. The majority of the brush comes from residents and businesses in the area. Consequently, using this material helps promote a healthy local environment!

To pickup mulch, come to 14 Gleason Road, Rutland, VT, 05701 and ask an attendant about free mulch. This promotion is for residential customers only. Fees may apply for commercial pickup. Please contact Daniel Hofman at programs@rcswd.com or 802-775-7209 x 203 with any questions.
