Coming Soon – Credit/Debit Card Payment Option & Online Permit Process!

Rutland County Solid Waste District is moving forward in these difficult times & including methods to improve safety with convenience. This month we created a few surveys to see if District residents would like the option of using credit/debit card as a payment option at Gleason Transfer Station and if they would like the convenience of applying/renewing the Gleason Transfer Station permit online.

Survey for “Digital Payment Options” and 83.3% said they would use credit cards and 35.7% they use it all the time. 80% also uses Gleason frequently.

We solicited a survey on this topic to the public on the “2021 Permit Process” and 91.6% would like to do the permit process online. 2/3 of the people who took the survey would like to have their permit emailed, and 1/3 wants to pick it up at the TS. 90% also wants to receive a discount if they renew their permit before Jan 1.

As a result, we are building the final touches on having a digital payment platform and an online permit process. So please stay tuned for updates!
