Unfortunately, the Diamond Run Mall is no longer open to host the biannual drug takeback day. The upcoming prescription drug takeback day is Saturday, October 26. Luckily, you can dispose of medications properly at two different locations in Rutland year-round:
Rutland Sheriff's Office-88 Grove StHours: 6:00 AM – Midnight from Monday to Saturday and 6 AM – 8:00 PM on Sundays.
Rutland Regional Medical Center Pharmacy-160 Allen StHours: Monday to Friday from 7 AM – 5 PM.

These locations will accept pills and liquids for anonymous drop-off. Do not drop off syringes or sharps at these locations. Contain the needles/sharps in a sturdy plastic container such as a laundry detergent bottle. Tape the container shut, and label it “DO NOT RECYCLE.” Only then may it be thrown in the trash.
